Default Worcester heatslave 20/50 oil combi boiler

    Hi there,

I have one of the above (located in outhouse) and have the following fault, that I was hoping someone could advise me on.

I have hot water and central heating on all the time, but I control the central heating via the thermostat in the house, set at around 21, the central heating has stopped working, but once every 3/4 days it suddenly comes back again for a few hours only to go off again.

I am goinf to call someone out but was looking for some pointers so I don't get myself in a tizzy with his jargon.

Thanks in advance for any advise

    Pippa

the first thing to establish is ,is the programmer working correctly and is the room stat faulty, the fault cannot be with the boiler as you are getting hot water,

Thanks for getting back to me, update, engineer came out this afternoon and he is saying that the room stat is fine, and that it is a problem with the pcb, and that we need a new one, before I agree to this any further info on offer.

    Much appreciated
