before you even buy a book you should have a read of the posts in the 'plumbing courses section' as of september there will not be a 6129, and if you are not in employment or have an apprenticeship you will not be able to the course full stop.

sorry to sound so negative but its better to tell you the truth now, also i dont know what your circumstances are.

    good luck

i think what you want, is to go and have a word with your local college and get some info on courses to start with, never mind level 3 and acs.

Speaking to my plumbing lecturer at my local college, tells me City & Guilds have not sorted the new diploma course in time for september start, that the original C&G 6129 course will continue, but will be able to say more when i go to enrol in August.
The JTL plumbing book will help you for your plumbing course.
    Good luck
