    Red face Aqualisa confusion

Hi , I'm trying to buy a shower for my new en-suite, pulling teeth would be more pleasurable. I have a gravity system apparently and I'm told I need a 3 bar pump. My question is this - could I fit an Aqualisa Quartz Digital shower with the 3 bar pump - I assume I need the HP/Combi Model ie the one that comes without the integral pump. Im told the integral pump wont be up to it.

I have conflicting views from the plumber and the various shops.

    Thanks.

No mate, Aqualisa do 2 types of digital shower. One for system boilers and one for combis.

Your system is a system boiler therefore the aqualisa comes with a comes with a 1.5 bar pump in it. I think this delivers a max of 18 litres a minute.

This is good enough for most showers but if your running something flash that'll be a different matter. The quartz is the best they do.

    Just re-read your post,

There may be a bit of confusion, if you have a new digital shower for your en-suite, this will not improve you existing shower in your main bathroom.

You would be using the existing shower as it is,

Your options would be either now or in the future have a 2nd digital shower in the main bathroom. (each shower requiring its own digital unit)

As the quartz is very expensive, the 2nd option would be have a 3 bar pump in the cupboard which is then capable of running 2 showers at the same time approx 1.5 bar each.

    Hope your not more confused.
