    Unhappy Mira Sport troubleshooting advice

    Hi,

If anyone can help me determine what's wrong with my Mira Sport shower (92-98 model), that would be brilliant.

Previously it's worked fine with more than ample pressure from shower head. Last night it stopped working. There is plenty of water flow and pressure from the cold tap in the bathroom.

    Symptons are as follows:-

Set to Stop - Power light On, no flow of water, Low Pressure light Off.

Set to Cool - Power light On, water dribbles from shower head (200ml/minute), Low Pressure light Off.

Set to Low/High - Power Light On, water dribbles from shower head (200ml/minute), Low Pressure light On.

Tried removing shower head pipe from shower unit, water just dribbles out at the same rate.

The Mira website (which I guess is for the later version of the Sport) suggests a water pressure problem, but it seems odd to me that it would go from no problem to virtually nothing so quickly.

If anyone can offer suggestions on what the problem might be and how I can fix it, that would be excellent.

    Thanks,

    Stuart.

Doubt if it's a water pressure problem if your water pressure has remain unchanged. Was the water turned off at any time recently?

If the shower is needing parts, it would be better to buy a new shower due to the age of your existing one.

Check the filter first, if ok scrap it and get a new one.

The water supply hasn't been turned off at all recently.

I can check the filter, but given it was fine before I'm guessing that would be a long shot. Regarding your comments about replacing rather than repairing, that makes sense.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
