Default Shower Pump, Digital pumped Shower, Venturi Valve, Electric?? Im so confusedd!!

    Hi,

Im new here and have been reading lots of excellent advice from this site.. Thanks guys!

I have a dilemma about what type of shower system to install and was wondering if someone could give me some advice?

Ive recently purchased a 2 bedroom first floor maisonette and renovating it with plans to rent it out for a year or two.

Im in the middle of doing the Bathroom, and need to work out what shower is best, ive been thinking about and researching it for weeks and still cant decide... its doing my head in!

The flat has a gravity system... hot water tank in the airing cupboard, with a 20 gallon cold water storage tank just above it ( in the same cupboard, not in the loft - which i find strange but anyway..)

The hot and cold gravity pressures arent very good at all.

I have measured the mains pressure and it is 2.5bar, but im not sure if the flow rate is very good.

Basically i want to have a good and powerful shower and was set on installing a 1.5bar pump and thermostatic shower valve... then the more i researched it, the more confused i got, as people say the shower pumps are really noisy - i want to keep the disturbance for the old lady downstairs to a minimum. - she can be a real pain in the ***

I heard the digital pumped showers are another option, but i dont know how powerful these would be? is anyone able to give their comparisons between a pumped digital shower and 1.5/2.0 bar shower pump?

I was going to order a Trevi Boost Venturi shower but then decided against it as i heard theyre very sensitive to limescale and debris ( the flats in a heavy limscale area) and i want to keep call outs from tenants to a minimum

Other option i was looking at was an electric shower, but i dont think that would give me the power showering experience i would like.

If the performance from a pump is worth overlooking the noise, im willing to do that, and i understand i will probably have to upgrade the capacity of the cold water tank which i dont mind doing if it is worth it?

I guess the question comes down to how good/powerful a digital pumped shower will be compared to an old fashioned pumped thermostatic shower?

Ive been looking at the Mira Magna UV pumped and Aqualisa visage showers. Has anyone had any experience with these and also how much power and noise do i get from something like a Salamander CT50.

Any advice and experiences will be really appreciated... and sorry for the long winded post!!

    Cheers!
