I've never had a good experience in Plumbcentre, you walk in and one guys serving, two others "floating" which basically means ignoring me, and i'm stood there like a spare p***k at a wedding. Someday I will seriously go off.
Get most everything from one or two good independents. Once you build a good relationship with them the service is top notch. Dont pester them constantly for prices without buying stuff, 75% of the stuff I get them to quote on i'll end up ordering so they dont mind doing the quotes.

Also a good independant will remember what your preferances are, ie quality/price etc and can make recommendations accordingly, that can save you a lot of time researching products.
