Default Isolating Electric shower

I have a customer with a Mira electric shower on the wall over the bath (hollow stud wall), the shower is mounted straight onto the plaster work and I need to take it off to tile behind it which is a fairly straight foward job as long as I take into account the thickness of the tiles.
I'm not starting the job for a week yet but I can't find the fuse box in the house, the only 'box' the customer knows of is in the pantry but all thats in there is the meter and an old style mains on/off switch but no consumer unit or fuse box.
I know this isn't an electrical forum but why cant myself, the customer and her brother find any kind of fuses/contact breakers anywhere in the house?

P.S the box in the pantry is an old black box with a single rocker switch - nothing else.
What is supplying the high current electric shower?
